Kylie Minogue, who recently made a guest appearance on Kath and Kim, an Australian sitcom, is rumored to have been offered a role in Dr Who.

Apparently, Kylie will play the role of an evil cyber woman in the BBC Sci-Fi series. The filming of the series will start in July, and the Aussie star might appear in the 2007 Christmas special. According to News of the world, Kylie was flattered to be invited to appear in this classic series, and is really looking forward to acting again.

In the past, the most notable appearances of Kylie Minogue have been in The Deliquents and Moulin Rouge, in 2001. According to Doctor Who's recreator Russel Davies, the Australian star should be booked for the next 2 years.

Nonetheless, all these might be just rumors, considering in the past Britney Spears or Jessica Simpson were reported to appear in the BBC series, only for these rumors to be discredited by Russel Davies. But if this turns true, it might be a boost for the ratings of the Sci-Fi show, considering the celebrity of Kylie.
