J-Lo's albums banned in Latin store
David Massry, the president of the music chain, was especially angered by the fact that, even if their company has supported J-Lo from the beginning, the singer decided to visit only Anglo retail outlets.
Even if the promoting campaign and program are all done by her record label, Massry said that J.Lo personally refused to promote any of her CDs in their music stores and in any other Latino only retail outlets.
"This is a Spanish-language CD, and if she wants to discriminate against the Latin community, then we will not sell her product," Massry said. He also added that celebrities seem to have short memory and quickly forget where they started after reaching a certain level of crossover appeal.
