Kim Cattral, who played the role of Samantha Jones, has officially confirmed that new episodes of the popular TV show "Sex and The City" are planned.
From when the last series ended, in 2004, there were rumors that there was a possibility that the show would make a comeback, but on the big screen.

Cattrall, spent the last 3 and a half months filming for David Mamet's "The Cryptogram" in London. The actress says that she found out of her new project only upon her return to the United States. As Kim declared for itv.com: "When I arrived home I found an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm".

The media found out that the previous plans regarding the movie were cancelled because Kim Cattrall refused to appear alongside the other actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon. Cattrall stopped those rumors by adding: "I'm so happy that we weren’t forgotten!"
