A husband-and-wife team of artists has sued NBC television and the creators of the Heroes drama, claiming their work was copied without their consent.

The couple says that the character Isaac, played by Santiago Cabrera, is very similar to a character created by them in their artwork - a painter who can see the future, including the destruction of two New York buildings. Their story, along with a painting series, was exhibited during 2004 and 2005.

Of course, an NBC spokeman declared they intend to defend vigorously their show, which helped boost their rankings this season.

This isn't the first time NBC is sued over Heroes, after Emerson Electric, a garbage disposal maker, complained about the show casting a bad light on one of their products. The product's brand name was visible in a scene where one of the characters got her hand all mangled by the garbage disposal.
